Rescue maranta
hello all. Today I rescued these babies from my local grocery store. I’m wondering if those spots are hard water spots or mildew fungus?! I have happy healthy plants and I don’t want to put them with them if I could possibly sicken all my plants. Any suggestions or answers? Thank you in advance. <br>

Paris Lalicata The white spots on the leaves are known as salt deposits (aka lime or calcium deposits)! This happens when hard water (water with high mineral content) is used to water the plant or splashes onto the foliage, and once it evaporates or transpires from the leaves it will temporarily stain them with white spots which is totally harmless to your plants! This can easily be removed by diluting distilled white vinegar into a cup of water, and using a a cotton pad or soft tissue to wipe it off!
