My new Coin Plant
I recently got my first order, pilea peperomioides or the Coin Plant. I have watered it a little but a lot of my leaves keep falling off. What am I doing wrong?

Paris Lalicata Hi Amy! Are you able to share a photo of the plant so we can take a better look?

Amy Rogers Yes, it had 6 or 7 leaves and this is what’s left

Melissa I just got one of these too! I found that i initially caused it to drop some leaves because I overwatered the roots. The leaves got soggy and fell off. I read that they don’t like to have “wet feet” so maybe try just misting around the rim of the pot and let it dry out before you spritz again. Worked for me and now I have baby leaves growing back! I also think they prefer south facing windows with not too much string or direct sun.

Paris Lalicata I agree! Could be due to over watering either due to watering the plant before it was ready or if it's in too low of light keeping the soil moist for too long. I would boost light and ensure you allow the soil to dry out between waterings!
