Succulent help
Hi, I"m new here. I have this Assorted Echeveria in Mini High and as you can see the base is dead. It did well for a while. I was rotating when it would start to lean but now the base is dead and the plant us unstable. What do i do?is it savable?

Paris Lalicata Hi Elsa! It's perfectly natural for the Echeveria to shed it's older leaves overtime. As long as the rest of the plant is healthy and thriving it'll be good to go. I'd remove the dead plant material to enhance the appearance. Ensure it's getting plenty of light to full sun, and you allow the soil to dry out between waterings. With the right care it'll continue to thrive!

Elsa J Gutierrez It's unstable. Almost like it doesnt have roots in the soil and the slightest touch seems like it will fall out of the pot.

Paris Lalicata It could be due to the plant becoming too top heavy at this point, especially if the shoot ratio is larger than the root ratio! If you'd like you can always try propagating the plant to reduce its legginess. This can be as simple as cutting the stem 1-2 inches below the healthy leaves and placing the cutting in water to root! Ensure you place it plenty of bright indirect light and change the water weekly/bi-weekly!
