  • HELP!!
So, I’ve had this lily for about a month now and I can’t seem to find out what these little spots are!

Not to be gross but they are like little pimples, I usually squeeze them and wipe them off with a damp paper towel.
Can anyone help me identify what they are and how to get rid of them?

    Thank you ❤️

Paris Lalicata Hi Sam! Unfortunately the pimples you are referring to are a pest known as Scale, and they can become very destructive on a plant. I would recommend isolating this plant from the rest of your collection, and checking any plants near by for the pest. The best way to eradicate Scale is to pick off the adults and dispose of them since they are armored and insecticides won't be able to penetrate through their shells. Afterwards I would spray the plant down with some water, allow it to dry, and then treat with your insecticidal soap or neem oil of choice to further treat the plant as this will kill off any eggs/larvae. You'll most likely have to monitor the plant over the next several weeks and keep treating it every 3-4 days until the infestation is gone!
